Test Results
When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind and call the surgery after 11.00am and once sufficient time has elapsed.
If registered for Patient Access you can look up your test results online. As soon as the results have arrived and the doctors have reviewed them, you will be able to see them on your electronic record. If there is any cause for concern, the doctor will have made arrangements to contact you.
Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results. Therefore, it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the GP.
Please note, we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.

Please see this leaflet You have been referred to a Specialist for more information about what to expect when you are referred by your doctor to see a specialist. It includes information about tests, fit notes, prescriptions and follow-up appointments all of which the specialist will arrange.
